We have a growing relationship with Te Atiawa which supports our kura’s access to the wider community of Te Whanganui-a-Tara, and its potential local curriculum.
We are looking for a Science Technician to suport the work of a busy Science Faculty. The successful applicant will have a relevant science qualification and experience of working in a laboratory environment. You will support the Science Faculty in co-ordinating the use of practical resources and facilities. You will be experienced, with an emphasis on safe working practices, in providing assistance to the practical needs of the Faculty. Your duties will be varied and there will be opportunity to develop within the role. You will have good communication skills and a flexible, self-motivating attitude with an aptitude for organisation and a willingness to learn.
This is a permanent, part-time role: 5 hours per day, 44 weeks per year (term time plus one week each school holiday) governed by the terms of the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement.
