Fez Kebab is a Turkish restaurant in Matamata with a relaxed ambience and a great culinary experience. Our restaurant is open 7 days a week. We have a capacity of around 100 seating patrons, takeaways and deliveries on top of that.
We are looking for a restaurant manager to organise and coordinate administrative duties in our restaurant. A minimum of 30h/week is guaranteed.
The applicant needs to perform the following tasks and will report back to the owner of the restaurant:
1. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the business in the restaurant, planning and organising special functions, taking reservations, deciding on seasonal menu items
2. Working with suppliers to ensure adequate levels of stock are maintained. Keeping documentation and records as needed for the preparation of accounts.
3. ensuring store complies with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance and maintaining service standards
4. conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with products and service
5. marketing and social media management
6. developing and implementing advertising and promotions to improve customer loyalty
7. Having oversight and control over the staff roster system and leave applications. Confirming and managing staff leave requests.
The applicant
1. should have at least 1 year of full time working experience in a similar industry or
2. should have a relevant qualification, such as a Business or Management Diploma
3. must be able to work on weekends, the store is open 7 days, 9.30 am-10 pm (you will be rostered)
4. may be required to work evenings to complete tasks
5. must have knowledge of MS-Office programs
6. must have good communication and presentation skills, as well as organisational and problem-solving skills.
