The Opportunity
We are looking for a registered nurse to join the team at STAR 4 Horowhenua Health Centre based in Levin, 45 minutes away from Palmerston North Hospital.
We have a casual role, on an ‘as and when required' basis (no set hours). (Important to note: these hours may eliminate some visa-holding applicants). Part shifts and flexible hours to be negotiated, may include night shifts.

STAR 4 is a 20 bed rehabilitation ward for patients 16 years and over in the Horowhenua Health Centre, Levin, although most patients are over 65 years old. It is part of the Mid Central Healthy Ageing and Rehabilitation (HAR) Cluster based in Palmerston North and has links to the Community Elder Health Team. STAR 4 cares for a multitude of health consumers including palliative and end of life.
If you have a current practising certificate and a commitment to the provision of excellent patient care, then we look forward to hearing from you.
Essential requirements include:

  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Meeting the requirements of the NZ Nursing Council to practice
  • The ability to adapt easily in a changing environment
  • The ability to be flexible and prioritise
  • The ability to work effectively within a team
  • Excellent communication and assessment skills
  • The ability to function independently within the scope of practice
