About the role:
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) team on a permanent, full-time basis. Our SCBU is a Level 2A unit with 12 cots, providing specialised care for sick and premature infants in the Hawke's Bay region. This is a unique opportunity to work in a nurturing environment that offers both challenges and rewarding experiences, while making a real difference in the lives of newborns and their families.
As part of this role, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to infants who require extra support during the first critical stages of life. Working closely with both the infants and their whānau, you will play an integral role in the health journey of our smallest patients.

Skills and experience:
We are looking for Registered Nurses who have:
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid Annual Practising Certificate
- Proven experience in neonatal nursing, ideally in a Level 2A or equivalent unit
- A passion for working with infants and their families/whānau, providing compassionate and high-quality care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- The flexibility and resilience to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- A commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
