About the role This is an exciting opportunity working in a unique part of the health sector, where although you are not working as part of a DHB, you are still caring for people and making a huge difference to patient outcomes. There is a lot more to being a nurse at NZBS other than just taking blood. Dealing with primarily well people gives a different perspective to a working day. You can say goodbye to night shifts as you'll be working Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday. Shifts are 8 hours long (occasionally up to 10 hours), starting and finishing between 6:45am and 8:30pm. Flexible to work rostered shifts and travel away on Mobile Blood Drives with overnight travel for up to a week at a time. Whether you are interested in developing your clinical skills and experience in therapeutic procedures such as collection of stem cells and plasma exchange procedures; your leadership skills coordinating our collects; or your coaching and training and development skills, inspiring our staff to be the best they can be, NZBS has fantastic opportunities for everyone. Salary starting at $75,773 to $106,739 depending on skills, registration, and experience. About you and the role As our donors regularly go out of their way to give up their time to donate blood, great customer service is key to ensuring they have an amazing donation experience that encourages their continued support. So to be successful in this role you'll be a great communicator with good written and verbal skills, vital for reassuring the donor every step of the way. We welcome enquiries from RNs who will utilise their health assessment, critical thinking and reflective practice skills to contribute to all aspects of the collection of blood products and donor health education at our mobile and donor room collects.
