About this position:
This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave, 0.8 FTE for up to 12 months.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current New Zealand APC
• Registered Nurse with no restrictions
• The successful appointee must meet the statutory and organisational requirements for working with children, as per the Children Act 2014 and Mid Central District policy, including a satisfactory police check and other safety checking processes
• Recent experience in hospital acute care setting.
• Current Level 2 PDRP (or working towards level 3)
• Has required technical skills, certification or credentials eg IV, PCA
• Competent using a computer
• Is prepared to and has the ability to learn new web based clinical applications required for the role. Undertakes training if required

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• CORE resus trained
• TNCC certification
• CENNZ triage certification
• Paediatric emergency nursing experience

This is a temporary role working rostered, rotating shifts.
