The Role
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Process Operator to join our team at our Kinleith site. This is a new role created to support our ongoing operations and growth. As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for the manufacturing of chemical products, ensuring that they meet all safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards. You will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture chemical products on time and within specification, adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on the plant and process equipment.
Maintain stock levels of raw materials and finished products, conducting weekly stocktakes.
Issue permits to work for site activities, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including drivers, customer representatives, and contractors, to ensure smooth production operations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy work environment, managing hazards effectively.
Assist with maintenance activities and perform inspections to ensure continuous plant operation.
Skills & Experience
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in chemical plants, dairy, or beverage industries.
Knowledge of SHEQ standards and statutory regulations in a manufacturing setting.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with an understanding of mechanical and electrical fundamentals.
Experience with computer-based control systems and familiarity with SAP/MEX systems is desirable.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
Forklift license – desirable, and a valid driver’s license is required.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday with flexible hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
On-call duties required, with additional allowances and payments for call-outs.
