PeopleSoft - Senior Functional Consultant

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced People Soft Global Payroll Senior Functional Consultant to join our Customer Services practice.

DXC Practice for Oracle is the largest independent provider of Oracle consulting and managed services in Australia and New Zealand. DXC Practice for Oracle provides dynamic technology leadership in delivering Oracle Cloud solutions, with a full continuum of services around Oracle’s integrated suite of applications, platform services, and engineered systems.

The Role
Due to ongoing growth within the DXC Oracle practice, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced People Soft Global Payroll Senior Functional Consultant to join our Customer Services practice to strengthen our capabilities.

Reporting to the Project Manager, as part of our project team the successful candidate will liaise closely with customers and functional team members in the implementation and maintenance of People Soft HR & Global Payroll for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Liaising with customers and colleagues for the consultation, requirements gathering, design, implementation and ongoing support of People Soft solutions.
Assist customers with analysing, designing, testing and deploying People Soft enhancements, reports and regular application updates and patches.
Definition and preparation of any required approach and/or standards documentation;
Requirements Elicitation, Specification & Fit-Gap;
Business Process Modelling and Specification;
Functional Design Specification for customisations and enhancements (including interfaces and reports);
Configuration Design and Build;
Data Conversion Design;
Security Design;
Test Planning, Preparation, Execution and Defect Management;
Manage small work teams including the reporting and monitoring of team status;
Management of issues and risks;
Quality management: review of key deliverables; promote consistency in solution; ensure adherence to scope; and ensure adherence to Program standards and procedures;
Provide Functional inputs to other streams such as Technical Upgrade, Development, Test and Deployment;
Train and mentor other team members;
Transition and knowledge transfer.

Key Skills Required
To be successful in this position you will possess many of the following attributes:

Advanced understanding of People Soft Global Payroll for NZ extension
Proficient in People Soft GP New Zealand and Legislative changes
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Global Payroll during both implementation projects and BAU support services.
Prior experience in People Tools/PUM upgrades, Implementing and supporting People Soft HCM application including Payroll.
Excellent requirements gathering skills and ability to translate business requirements into functional design specifications in related to Global Payroll and other modules.
Prior experience working in a formal project environment.
Proven ability to perform Analysis, Design, Configuration and Test activities for People Soft solutions.
Good interpersonal skills, establishing good working relationships with Project Team members, the business and other stakeholders.
Proven ability to mentor and train others.
Possess a good command of the English language, written and verbal.
Ability to work as a part of a project team.
