About the role We're looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team. This position will provide services to patients in the Child & Adolescent Mental Health and Addiction Services Te Roopu Kimiora team. You will provide a high quality and effective occupational therapy service which supports rehabilitation and recovery for children and youth, promoting independence, safety, self-determination, individual and family well-being. In conjunction with the Child & Adolescent Mental Health and Addictions Team, you will co-ordinate care to meet identified needs of referred children and young people within the context of family, school and peer groups. This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week. About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
A current practicing certificate and registration in NZ as an Occupational Therapist
Current clean, full driver's licence
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience working in Mental Health/psychiatry, preferably child & adolescent mental health
Awareness of Occupational Therapy theory and principles of practice
