Taranaki Base Hospital – Maternity Unit
Up to 1.0 FTE available
Job sharing options will be considered
We have a vacancy for the right person to work in the Newborn Hearing Screening service.
The role involves working in the maternity unit, both with the inpatient and outpatients, providing hearing screening for all newborn babies.
Newborn Hearing Screening Training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Moū - About you
- Experience working in a health or education setting, desired
- Excellent administrative and computer skills.
- Ability to work under direction, but primarily able to carry out the role independently and with integrity and initiative.
- Competence in handling and caring for newborn babies and working effectively with families/whanau.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy.
- Organisational ability and be able to consistently provide a safe and quality service.
- Knowledge of Tikanga Maori.
