Network Administrator

Afford IT Limited in Auckland is currently recruiting for the full-time, permanent Network Administrator.
You will require the minimum of a 5 years of relevant experience and or a Bachelors qualification.
  • Installs and maintains hardware and software, documents diagnosis and resolution of faults, manages user passwords, security and inventory documentation, ensures the efficient performance of servers, printers and personal computers, and attends to other operational tasks.
  • May also perform tasks such as help desk support and user training.
  • Administer and support various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and server environments.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network components.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, taking proactive measures to resolve issues before they impact operations.
  • Manage and support cloud-based infrastructure and services
  • Implement and oversee cloud-based solutions
  • Assist with cloud migration, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to and resolve service requests and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to address complex technical problems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and other relevant metrics.
  • Document and track issues and resolutions for future reference
  • Attend regular in-office meetings to collaborate with the team, discuss ongoing projects, and provide updates on system performance.
  • Participate in planning and strategy sessions to align IT initiatives with business goals.
  • Conduct on-site visits to client locations around Auckland to perform hardware installations, troubleshooting, and support as required.
The pay-rate for this role will be between $30.00 - $40.00 based on experience and exposure.

Expected hours: 32 – 45 per week
