What we're looking for:

We're looking for a candidate who's familiar with the construction processes mentioned above, with at least 5 years exposure to site and/or workshop environments. You will be primarily involved in water treatment and wastewater treatment industries, although we welcome applicants from other industries with relevant experience. You will normally be pricing in 1-2 tenders at a time and a typical tender duration is 8 weeks. Tenders are generally assembled by a team consisting of an estimator (responsible for pricing), bid manager (responsible for methodology, programme), tender writer (responsible for managing client correspondence and assembling the final bid), and managers who review and sign off the tender. You will need to cooperate well with others and be transparent with your capabilities and progress. On large projects you will be working under a lead mechanical estimator.
The main software packages we use are CCS Candy, MS Excel and MS Project. Familiarity to these software packages would be advantageous. Understanding of the NZ supply chain for the materials are subcontractors listed above is also welcome. Experience with cost estimation is preferred but not essential.
