Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1800 students with 150 teaching and support staff combined.

An exciting opportunity is available for an outstanding Maths teacher. We welcome applications from experienced teachers seeking new challenges and beginning teachers looking to start their career in a vibrant, supportive faculty.

In addition, there are opportunities for suitable candidates for additional wider school leadership responsibilities at the College.

We may also be able to support with school house accommodation, suitable for families and individuals, at a modest rate.

This is a full-time permanent position to start in January 2025.

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement (STCA): www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements

Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $59,027 and top rate of $99,216. Hours of work will be full-time as set out in the STCA.

New graduate teachers may be eligible for a pre-tax payment of $10,500 through the Voluntary Bonding Scheme, subject to conditions.
