We are looking for an experienced individual for the role of Manager - Office and HR to join our team. To be successful for this role, you must: ü Have a qualification in horticulture/agriculture OR a minimum of 3 year work experience in horticulture/farming/agriculture or in a similar setting at a managerial/supervisory role. ü Have excellent business acumen, communication & leadership skills ü Be well organized with good time management ü Be honest and enthusiastic with a positive and mature attitude Job Duties: · Ensure that workforce needs of the company are met at all times. Making and implementing strategies to meet the workforce needs. Ensure that there is optimal availability of workforce. · Selection/recruitment of workforce (permanent and seasonal) as per the work undertaken by the company. Provide appropriate induction/training to recruited work force. · Allocation of tasks/blocks/orchards to workforce on daily basis. Allocation of equipment/resources. · Developing and Implementing performance appraisal systems. Monitoring work performance of the workers and office staff. Motivate workforce in order to increase productivity. · Solve workflow problems by people management. Keep effective and regular communication with employees and provide mediation (if required) between staff members. · Assisting the Director in maintaining work force payroll register. Ensure that all timesheets are complete and accurate. Ensure that payroll and other records/accounts are maintained efficiently. · Ensure that the organization complies with occupational health and safety standards at all the times. Ensure that all the employees are aware of occupational health policies, principles and practices and implement them fully. Ensuring safety of employees by providing safety gear as and where required. · Assisting the Director in maintaining of company’s office: equipment and supplies, records, setting priorities and maintaining office standards. · Keep record of transportation costs. Arranging transportation and accommodation for orchard workers and staff if needed. · Liaising with company stakeholders such as growers, pack houses, orchard managers, suppliers, accountant, lawyer, unions and other professionals as and when required to efficiently execute the business activities. · Monitoring employment costs as against company revenues/profits. · Ensure that the organization complies with all the relevant legislation, policies and procedures. · Represent the company as and when required. · Other tasks as required from time to time.
