The role of the Manager Learning is to drive business value by outlining the SNZ learning and plan and enabling Suncorp NZ’s workforce to effectively build the right capabilities to meet current and future customer, regulatory and performance expectations. This role is also accountable for the management and delivery of the SNZ learning program to achieve our strategic people capability objectives.

Our People and Culture team is going through an exciting period of change, and we are looking for a Manager Learning, to join our team.
The role of the Manager Learning is to drive business value by outlining the SNZ learning and plan and enabling Suncorp NZ’s workforce to effectively build the right capabilities to meet current and future customer, regulatory and performance expectations. This role is also accountable for the management and delivery of the SNZ learning program to achieve our strategic people capability objectives.
What you’ll do:
- In conjunction with People & Culture colleagues, engage senior stakeholders to identify capability requirements and gaps across SNZ to deliver the SNZ business plan and ensure there is sufficient budget to meet requirements.
- Lead the design, build, curation, and implementation of agreed learning solutions.
- Contribute to the creation of a self-directed, continuous learning focused culture.
- Create and manage a Learning Centre of Excellence to develop and deliver learning activities across the organisation, ensuring a consistent standard is applied and activities are aligned with Suncorp’s capability-building needs.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Learning, Organisational Development or Human Resources.
- 5-10 years of experience working with Learning program design and delivery.
- Demonstrated Programme Management experience, preferably Agile.
- Previous experience and knowledge of technical learning development.
- Understanding of learning systems and their application.
- An ability to work on multiple projects at any given time and deliver to deadline.
- Good analytical, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and relationship building skills.
- Experience in leading others.
- Fixed term 18-month contract.
