Our people need to support and foster this approach in all they do. About the role The successful applicants will have strong interpersonal skills and a passion for the outdoors. Knowledge of general maintenance is essential and ability to do physical work is required. The applicant must work well in a team environment, ability to work well under pressure, eye for detail, excellent communication skills. Have a high level of resourcefulness. Honest and work well in a team environment. Excellent English. Previous experience with maintenance work is an advantage. Passion for age care sector. This is full-time permanent role working up to 20 hours per week. About you:
Have a can-do attitude.
Have a wide range of handy man skills. Have a full and clean driver’s license.
Be a good communicator.
General carpentry tasks and projects as well as basic plumbing and mechanical repairs.
Ability to do painting.
The ability to confidently and happily work unsupervised.
Have a good understanding of current building materials.
You will need to have a strong practical background or come from a trade or Property Maintenance/ Handyman field.
Applicants should be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
