Maintenance Manager

Reporting to the Mill General Manager, you should have strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to build relationships at all levels, and possess professionalism, project planning, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to excellent results.
Your responsibilities will include
Oji Fibre Solutions (Oji FS) is the largest integrated pulp, paper and fibre-based packaging manufacturer in New Zealand. Our manufacturing operations promote the efficient and complete use of sustainably sourced virgin wood-fibre from renewable forestry resources. Your responsibilities will include
- Promote and ensure conformance to EHS&R standards, ensuring best practices and processes are in place.
- Manage the mill maintenance program to drive continuous improvement in cost, operational performance, and reliability.
- Lead the site maintenance team in delivering expert advice, strategic direction, and management for maintenance services and technological support.
- Contribute and support the Tasman lead team in achieving cost reductions, risk mitigation, and production targets while providing technical guidance for maintenance budget compliance and environmental standards.
- Providing effective team leadership through coaching, effective communication and developing individuals for future roles.

- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred; CPEng accreditation or relevant experience is an advantage.
- Proven experience in a senior site maintenance or engineering role in a complex manufacturing operation or heavy industry environment is required,
- An expert in best practice maintenance methodologies, systems and processes,
- Sound knowledge and ability to develop and implement competitive/lean manufacturing techniques,
- Extensive leadership experience with a can-do attitude,
- Pulp & Paper experience will be an advantage.
