Maintenance Assistant
Southern Lakes Laundries is a linen hire and Industrial laundry facility servicing accommodation and hospitality clients throughout the Southern Lakes region.
Our custom-designed laundry with high-tech industrial laundry processing equipment produces high-quality linen for our clients every day of the year.
We are seeking a maintenance assistant to provide support to our engineering team.
Necessary attributes needed to succeed in this role:
Work hours will be flexible to accommodate production schedules, and it is important to note that this is NOT a standard Monday-to-Friday position. We seek an individual with the flexibility to work after daily production concludes, with timing varying depending on the season (anytime between 3 pm to 11 pm).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week

- Good attention to detail, practical, and can think outside the box
- Troubleshooting ability and fault-finding skills
- Have a broad knowledge of engineering practices, tools, and equipment
- An excellent communicator who can work autonomously and with guidance
- Understand the importance of preventative maintenance
- Positive attitude towards Health & Safety
- A hands-on and proactive approach to the maintenance of plant and equipment
- Happy to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to be a team player
- A can-do attitude, and a good knowledge of how things work.
- Not afraid to get dirty!
- Full Class 1 driver’s license or international drivers licence
