We have an exciting opportunity with a newly created role as Liquor Department Assistant. We are looking for a confident, responsible and customer focused person with a high attention for detail to join our amazing team at Gilmours Manukau. This is a full time role - hours are Monday-Friday 9am-6pm and includes working public holidays where shifts are usually worked and our store is open.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the liquor department Manager, you will be responsible for performing key tasks assigned by them
Daily duties include but are not limited to:
Maintaining the replenishment of shelves, putting away stock, stock rotation with date checks, picking liquor orders, organising keg & crate returns
Providing an outstanding customer experience with assistance to customers within our liquor aisles
Ensuring Liquor displays are appropriately stocked and changed when required
Checking and changing price tickets on shelf as needed
Cutting in new products to shelf and relocations completed accordingly
Upkeep general cleanliness and presentation in your aisles that our store always requires
Preferred requirements
Min 2 years of relevant work experience within the Liquor industry - this would be seen as a strong advantage in securing this role
Current Forklift license - this would be seen as a strong advantage in securing this role
A natural ability to build rapport with any customer and assist them if asked
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people skills
Have a proactive approach and self-motivation with the ability to take initiative
Be physically fit and healthy - requirements for this role include heavy lifting
