About the opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi
Our Te Rapa site is one of Fonterra’s largest manufacturing sites. At 41 hectares, the site makes enough product to fill 48.5 shipping containers each day. We produce whole and skim milk, instant whole milk powders along with cream, butter, pure dairy milk fat, cream cheese, and frozen cream products.
An opportunity has arisen in our Te Rapa Site Facilities Team for a motivated and driven individual for a L8 Team Leader – Support role, using your leadership experience to supervise and coach the team in the Facilities Area. You will play a key role in leading the team to achieve outstanding results within our manufacturing operations, including optimising facility assets, operating costs whilst keeping a strong focus on Health & Safety, product safety and quality.
You will also ensure the Facilities Team meets LTO targets, regulatory requirements, and administrative information systems. On a day-to day basis, you will be responsible for supervising a team, allocating short term work and providing ongoing feedback to staff. You will take on key areas of the Facilities mandate to administer and improve our day-to-day workload.
Your aptitude and positive attitude will allow you to confidently problem solve various issues and your strong attention to detail will ensure you can keep an eye on quality control and maintain product to tight customer specifications whilst ensuring documentation is up to date.
Reporting to our Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Supervising Facilities processes to meet operational targets.
- Contractor management.
- Planning and allocating work & resources, managing time and attendance systems.
- Providing feedback on staff performance and development.
- Maintaining SOP and LTO tasks.
- Relieving for other Team Members.
- Participating in the recruitment process and resolving people issues.
