About us | Whakapā mai
Established in 1902, Maungaturoto is one of our oldest sites. With four plants, the site processes around 247 million litres of milk a year and processes raw milk into a range of milk powders, whey powders and rennet casein. Our Whey powder is used as a source of protein in nutritional powders, beverages and cultured products and the Casein is used for process cheese production. These products are exported to international markets worldwide.
About the opportunity | Te whai waahi
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to play their part in the operations at our Maungaturoto site as an L4 Junior Operator (Packing). Maintaining a strong focus on Health & Safety, this is a fantastic opportunity if you are serious about advancing your career and keen to be part of a highly motivated team.
Whether you’re running diagnostics and problem solving, or keeping an eye on quality control and ensuring our plant and equipment is clean, you’ll have plenty of variety in this role.
Key responsibilities of this position are:
- Set up and operation of processing line
- Process of making adjustments to the plant
- Completion of documentation
- Running of machine diagnostics/problem solving.
Please note that this is a 12month fixed term position with a rostered shift of four on (two days, two nights of 12-hour shifts) and four off which provides an excellent work-life balance.
About you | Moe koe
You will be working as part of a dedicated and high performing team and will need to have a strong focus on health and safety. Whilst a sound mechanical aptitude is a pivotal aspect of this role, other ideal skills include:
- Sound planning and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and team work ability
- Operation of touch screen machinery
- Food manufacturing experience
- Working in a hygienic environment
- Good communication skills
- F and OSH endorsement/certificate preferred but not essential.
