Key Accounts Executive (Maternity Cover)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Support the design and implementation of Account Plans and Business Reviews for Key Accounts and channels.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and specific Key Accounts, ensuring smooth execution of account strategies.
  • Assist the Key Account Manager in implementing plans and preparing business reviews with key insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee back-office requirements, forecasting, and campaign management to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with trading terms, manage customer payments, and ensure orders are delivered on time and in full (OTIF).
  • Leverage data and insights to identify gaps and opportunities, proposing strategies for growth and improving account performance.
  • Communicate and align account activities with the National Field team, providing support for commercial discussions and operational execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying new ways to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and improve account loyalty.


QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • 2–3+ years of FMCG experience in head office account management, with strong commercial acumen.
  • Tertiary education in a marketing/business discipline.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, with proficiency in MS Word, Power Point, and general computer use.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop effective account plans and manage business assessments within accounts.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong commercial relationships to support business objectives.
  • Experience in forecasting and managing sales targets to ensure accurate reporting and delivery.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams, providing leadership and direction for account activities and operational execution.
