Mō tēnei mahi (About this job) We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Kaiako to deliver the He Korowai Ākonga Bachelor of Education Level 7 programme to our Year 3 tauira. This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) role that starts in January 2025.
As Kaiako, you will plan, prepare, deliver, and motivate tauira learning. An essential part of this role involves undertaking rangahau (research) activities that inform teaching practice and maintain a high-quality programme.
Mōu (About you) The ideal Kaiako will be someone who has a passion for tauira success through education. You will bring with you:
A Masters Degree in Education or related subject
New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) or equivalent
Proven teaching experience in Primary Education
Must be a registered teacher with the New Zealand Teachers Council and hold a current practising certificate
Knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum
Be string in leadership experience in Numeracy and Literacy
