Mō te Tūranga - About the role
Come and join a high performing government department that has recently refreshed its strategic direction and the operating model of its Information Technology function. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the way we deliver IT services to the organisation.
We're seeking an IT Operations Specialist (ITOS) to lead service design and improvement initiatives, ensuring top-notch service management practices. In this hands-on role, you'll coordinate, facilitate, and deliver enhanced technology services while supporting the Service Desk with service continuity and flexibility
You will lead service improvement initiatives, manage the Service Improvement Register, and support IT service tools and automation. You'll ensure adherence to service management processes, facilitate team training, and provide end-user support. Additionally, you will assist with testing and communication for changes and contribute to business improvement projects.
We are looking for a team player who can hit the ground running and start contributing with:
proven experience in IT service management and improvement
strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams and with suppliers
experience in implementing and administering IT service tools and practices
excellent communication and training abilities.

This role is Wellington based and located next to Wellington bus and train station.
