Intern Psychologist
Mental Health and Addiction Services

Palmerston North Hospital

Mid Central's Mental Health Services are offering two 0.8 FTE positions for an Intern Psychologist in 2025 based in Palmerston North.

To be considered for this position you must be:
  • enrolled in a New Zealand University
  • undertaking masters or doctoral qualification in clinical psychology
  • able to supply a letter from your research supervisor indicating the progress of your research thesis.
  • registered as a Trainee or Intern Psychologist.


One position will be based in our Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service and the second position will be split 2 days a week in the adult Manawatu Locality Mental Health & Addictions Service and 2 days a week in the Older Adult Mental Health Service.
