The salary for this position is based on the current Senior Medical and Dental Officer collective agreement dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ. SECA | ASMS

The successful candidate will:
Deliver quality services to improve oral health of the population in Nelson Marlborough regions.
Work Monday to Thursday, every week, once a fortnight works Wednesday & Thursday in Wairau and participate in the 1:6 on-call roster in Nelson.
Become a part of a team of dental professionals including specialists, house officers, and assistants who work together to provide the Nelson Marlborough regions' eligible patients with high-quality general oral health care.

The ideal applicant will:
Have experience in hospital/special needs dentistry and excellent interpersonal skills, especially sensitivity to patients - need.
Have a sound knowledge of the dental care of individuals with complicated dental needs and long-term medical issues.
Perform a broad range of complex dental procedures.
Hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, or equivalent.
Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate of General Dental Practice with Dental Council of New Zealand.
Work with others to promote a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines.
Demonstrate commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.
