About us | Whakapā mai
Established in 1881, our Edendale manufacturing site is New Zealand’s oldest dairy processing site and with 13 plants, we produce 14 million bags of milk powder each year for export and process up to 15 million litres of milk every day in peak season.
About the opportunity | Te whai waahi
As the Groundsperson at Edendale site, you will be joining our newly invigorated and growing Facilities team in a dynamic and fast paced manufacturing environment.
Day to day you’ll have the responsibility of managing the upkeep of our grounds, roads, and drainage. This includes lawn-mowing, weeding, tree-trimming, processing recycling and managing disposals.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about our site, plant and processes to build on your knowledge and experience.
About you | Moe koe
This is a busy and varied role and we are looking for an energetic self-starter who enjoys the outdoors and who has experience in garden and building facilities maintenance.
You’ll be a practical hands-on person who is ready to roll your sleeves up and pitch in where needed and your ability to work well and communicate with others will be key in maintaining a cohesive team across the site.
To be successful you will:

Have strong self and time management skills

Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Be adaptable while also remaining calm under pressure

Have basic level of computer skills across the Microsoft applications.

Ideally hold a Forklift licence but we’re happy to train the right person
