We are looking for someone to join our Dunedin Depot team on a permanent, full-time basis as a Depot Operator. Previous experience with steel cutting, fabrication, welding, and painting would be advantageous, however full training will be provided to the successful candidate. About the Role: You will be trained in and be responsible for providing various duties associated with the day-to-day running of our Dunedin Container Depot Sites such as:
Wash pad activities - surveying containers, identifying those needing repairs, cleaning of containers to MAF and customer standards and completing audit sheets as required.
Repairer - carrying out the necessary repairs or upgrades to containers including welding and fabrication.
Container Movement - operating our side loaders, which are responsible for the movement of empty containers to and from both road and rail transport and yard storage.
Our Dunedin Depot team operate Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Some flexibility to work overtime to meet operational requirements may be necessary. Why Port Otago?
