DE&I Coordinator

About Us
At Sky City, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) aren't just words—they're at the core of how we operate. We believe that when people feel like they belong, they bring their best selves to work, which naturally leads to innovation and success. Since 2019, we've been on a journey to build a workplace where everyone feels valued, heard, and free to be themselves, fostering a culture that embraces differences and drives progress.
The Role
As our DEI Coordinator, you'll play a central role in supporting our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). You'll be coordinating events, managing budgets, and ensuring our DEI initiatives are impactful across the entire organisation, from senior leaders to frontline teams. You'll also work alongside the People & Culture team to integrate DEI principles into our policies and daily practices, ensuring inclusion is woven into everything we do.
This is a nine-month, fixed-term role where you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference. Your work will help create a workplace where everyone feels they belong and can thrive, no matter their role.
About You
We're not just looking for someone with a conventional career path—we're looking for someone who knows how to bring people together. Maybe you've been the organiser of community events, the one in charge of whānau gatherings, or the person everyone turns to when things need to get done. If you've been managing the family's holiday plans or leading local projects, those are the skills we're after.
Creativity is key in this role. You'll be someone who can think outside the box to craft engaging communications and develop fresh ideas for events and initiatives. You're a strong communicator who knows how to build relationships and create messages that resonate. You're also organised, able to juggle multiple projects, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks. You're comfortable using Microsoft Office, and if you've found ways to improve processes or make things more efficient, even better.
A qualification in Human Resources, Social Services, Marketing or Communications is a plus but not required. What's most important is your passion for DEI, your creativity, and your ability to make things happen—no matter where your experience comes from.
What's great about working at Sky City:
  • A supportive and diverse company culture
  • Work with people who care, are driven and energetic
  • Medical insurance
  • $2.50 cooked meals in our staff cafeteria
  • Staff convenience store (discounted bread, eggs, milk, butter etc)
  • Heavily discounted staff car parking and dry cleaning
  • Career progression
  • Discounts at our outlets
  • Free trips for you plus one as many times as you like up the Sky Tower
If you're the kind of person who loves bringing people together and ensuring everyone feels included, we'd love to hear from you.
At Sky City, our career opportunities are as diverse as our workforce. We don't just embrace differences; we value and support them. Our hiring is centred on capability and performance, regardless of gender, gender identity, race, origin, age, educational background, disability, or religious beliefs. We're here to empower you to shine. Our willingness to adapt ensures you can chart your path with us! Join us at Sky City and be extraordinary by being you.
Sky City takes its commitment to Host Responsibility seriously. Every member of our team, no matter their role, contributes towards Sky City's culture of customer care.
