Our Tuam Street branch in central Christchurch is seeking an empathetic, experienced Counsellor for a fulfilling opportunity, giving you the tools you need to support people the way they deserve to be taken care of – the Habit Health way.
EAP Counselling is short-term intervention. Our Counsellors work on a broad range of mental health matters from couples counselling, addiction, trauma, child and adolescent counselling and dealing with grief - to name a few.
Main responsibilities:
- Deliver focused interventions so that clients ace coping mechanisms at work and life
- Visit worksites to provide support after an event disruption
- Deliver counselling services via in-person, video and telehealth
- Deliver training to customer employees

The ideal candidate:
- A strong sense of others – we’re looking for sensitivity and empathy as traits
- Tertiary level 7 Counselling or related qualification
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy models e.g. SFT, CBT, FACT is desirable
- Current APC with NZAC, DAPAANZ, SWRB or NZCCA
