Loation: Blenheim, Marlborough
This is a casual position - Working 8.00AM to 4.30PM Monday to Sunday as required by your manager.
  • Provide antenatal and postnatal care in clinics and in the community
  • Position suitable for a new graduate or experienced midwife
  • Work in a small, close knit, friendly team with the caseload midwifery team, core midwives and community LMC’s
Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)
We are looking for a NZ registered midwife with loads of passion and commitment to join our maternity team. As a casual community midwife you will support safe, high-quality provision of antenatal and postnatal care for women unable to access a self-employed LMC.
Wairau Hospital is a secondary level maternity unit with approximately 500 births per year. The core, community and LMC midwives work as a team with our Obstetric, Anaesthetic and Paediatric colleagues.

You will be a midwife with total commitment to women centred and culturally respectful care. You will have excellent time management and organisational skills as well as the ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the broader organisational health care objectives. You will have access to Midwifery Educator support and a range of clinical experiences within your role.
The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $83,667 (for a new graduate) up to $115,715 (before overtime and allowances).
