The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager – Business Development, the Commercial Analyst will provide guidance and support to the Commercial team to ensure all bids submitted by ISS New Zealand meet the commercial and financial objectives set by the Sales Team and ISS’ Leadership team.
This permanent Full Time opportunity will be based from our Auckland (Newmarket) office.
The main focus of the role will be across the preparation of commercial and financial modelling and analysis, the application of approved methodology, bid governance and professional presentation of bids. The position will also manage the associated communications of the above processes, along with managing commercial/financial components of bids, timelines and analysing commercial risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial models which accurately reflect current regulatory environment, company guidelines and policies.
- Apply ISS Commercial governance process end to end
- Perform responsibilities within scheduled timeframes and with a high degree of accuracy
- Ensure that bids comply with tender conditions and response requirements
- Effective management of commercial risk associated with bids
- Demonstrate clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate advanced model building and development skills
- Demonstrate superior analytical skills – an ability to understand and interpret business operational, regulatory and industry issues, and develop solutions to address these issues

Profile
We want to hear from you if you have at least 2 years related work experience with particular emphasis in financial modelling and data analysis and/or industry related analytical work.
A suitable candidate should be able to also meet the below requirements:
- Advanced software skills in Microsoft Excel. Word and Power Point.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Advanced commercial and numerical analytical ability, with capability to develop and interpret full financial statements.
Strong candidates would be able to meet the desirable criteria listed below:
- Experience in bid environment and working within bid teams.
- Experience in the Facility Services industry, or with an outsource service provider.
- Bachelor in Business (Finance, Accounting or Commerce) or other relevant field.
- Advanced research and analysis skills.
- Advanced software skills in Microsoft Project.
- Interest in developing Project Management skills.
