We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with excellent relationship and people skills to join our high performing Central Commercial Markets Team as Commercial Underwriter to support our broker channel. Ideally you will have 2 to 3 years' experience, within commercial lines products, and have a strong understanding of the New Zealand market and emerging trends. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage well with internal stakeholders. Working closely with the Business Development Managers, you’ll be involved with new business, renewals and endorsements on a day-to-day basis, while strengthening relationships with intermediaries.
Helping our business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment, you’ll be responsible for:

Ensuring all risks are underwritten and accepted within authorised limits.
Managing a small portfolio of new business and ensuring the renewal of business.
Instrumental in process improvement.
Monitoring and analysing trends across renewals and claims.
Achieving high levels of quote conversion whilst maintaining turnaround time SLAs.
