Join our dedicated and hard-working Environmental Services Department and help maintain our facilities, while providing a suitable environment for our tūroro (patients) and whānau (families).
This role is based in Tuarangi Home in Ashburton. Tuarangi Home is a Residential Care facility (close to the main Ashburton Hospital) that provides hospital level dementia care at both rest home and hospital levels. You will be part of a small fast paced team that plays an essential part of maintaining Tuarangi Home facilities. You will be responsible for:
Completing all cleaning tasks to international healthcare standards
Ensuring daily schedules and tasks are completed within set timeframes
Operating and maintaining equipment safely around tūroro (patients) and whānau (families).
Handling cleaning solutions in accordance with safety protocols
Maintenance of equipment and operated according to specifications
There also maybe the opportunity to pick up more hours at Ashburton Hospital, this will be discussed at interview stage.
Ko wai koe - About You We are looking for a reliable, hard working and empathetic candidate who is able to bring their passion for cleaning to Tuarangi Home. This role will suit a candidate that is looking to help make Tuarangi Home a hygienic and safe space for our tūroro (patients) and whānau (families).
Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team.

Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health, is preferred but not essential.
