Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position) We are looking for a Charge Nurse Manager to lead a team of dedicated critical care nurses within Nelson Hospital. Our mixed unit is made up of intensive care, coronary care and high dependency patients in a nine bed closed unit which provides acute and elective care across multiple specialties and across the lifespan. Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?) We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated Nurse leader with a background in critical care nursing. You will have advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in critical care, and proven leadership experience. You will be able to facilitate the delivery of family-centred, culturally appropriate and safe care, with a strong focus on workforce management and quality improvement. You will have a strong record of transformational leadership, developing team culture, clinical mentorship, effective change management and a commitment to excellence in patient care. You will be part of an effective senior nursing team developing and leading models of care, process, policy and guidelines relating to this client group, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
