Purpose of position We’re looking for a Catalog Analyst for content to join our team who is excited about applying their database management and analytical skills to help us manage and grow our global content catalog. In this role, you will be at the heart of our content catalog growth capabilities that help empower our global clients to make data-driven decisions across all and any of their content decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall delivery of catalog automation tool - coordination, implementation and execution of category data/ metadata requirements and catalog development.
Maintenance of applications and interchange files
Maintain accurate application databases, adhering to published industry and customer requirements
Review and address customer inquiries related to metadata and catalog additions in a timely manner.
Identifying, preparing, analysing and presenting data using internal systems, databases and other tools.
Providing guidance and support to business in determining and recommending information needs.
Responding to requests for information by summarising and analysing internal and external data sources.
Responding to internal requests related to data issues, and resolve them on a timely manner.
Liaising with database specialists to develop queries and extract required data from business databases.
Can identify gaps/issues in internal systems and provide feedback to engineering teams.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2-3 years experience in a database management or data analytics role ideally within the media and entertainment industry
Technical skills including data management, data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and visualization
Familiarity with database tools and SQL queries to extract data patterns and information to make data driven decisions.
Detail-oriented and a highly organised, systematic and proactive thinker
Excellent time management and able to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly
Can effectively communicate technical results verbally and in writing to internal teams, clients and key industry stake holders, with a focus on driving impact
Proficient in office product suites like Excel, Google Sheets etc.
Works well with others with high-energy in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Commitment to after-hours work as our clients and team are in multiple time zones
