SPW specialises in welding which includes equipment, consumables, service, second hand and hire. Our businesses are able to deliver a national specialised welding supply chain and our trading companies have retained their locations, staff expertise and customer service levels whilst combining buying power and marketing initiatives.

The group includes Global Welding Supplies (NZ), ARC Welding Supplies (NZ), Western Welding Services (Perth), Townsville Welding Supplies, Norstate Gas (Cairns), Independent Welding Supplies (Brisbane and Mackay), The Weld Spot (Victoria), Allweld (NSW), Totalweld (NT) & Southern Cross Industrial Supplies (NSW and SA).

An exciting role where you will be using a balance of consultative and challenger sales styles to build quality relationships with customers and suppliers, who trust your expertise and believe in our commitment to safety, teamwork, and excellent outcomes for customers - which will deliver an outstanding business performance.

What you will enjoy doing

You will be responsible for delivery of continuing revenue and profit growth of the SPW Group
Deliver accelerated sales outcomes through achievement to targets, field sales activity, business development focus, customer retention and margin performance
Build an in-depth understanding of the local market, customer segments and competitors for the Region
You shall lead the branch operations to deliver all safety, sales, service, inventory, and profit targets
Make sure the branch complies with retail and operational standards, practices, processes, policies, and procedures
Maintaining exceptional service levels in the provision of welding and gas products/ services to customers, agents, and business partners
Furthermore, leading a culture of high performance and ensuring team members are recruited, trained, and developed to be safe, proactive & positive in all aspects of their roles
You will identify, support, and implement profitable business strategies

You come with experience in a branch management role within an industrial/manufacturing environment
You will have a passion for engineering, manufacturing and the welding process
Able to deliver sustained improvement in sales revenue, pricing, market share and customer satisfaction
Preferred experience in direct sales roles within an industrial/manufacturing environment
