Introduction

Are you passionate about creating delicious baked goods? Keen to take your management skills to the next level? If so, we’re looking for a skilled Bakery Manager to join the team and play an instrumental part in the successful running of our store bakery department.
About the Role:
Taking full ownership of the bakery department, you will be responsible for planning and co-ordinating all facets of day-to-day operations. You’ll drive to create an exceptional customer experience through great levels of service and a variety of fresh and delicious bakery offerings.

Undertake assigned tasks of a baker when required.
Ensure sales and GP targets are met or exceeded.
Control ordering for the department through use of in-store purchasing systems.
Ensure department is full and appealing with appropriate levels of fresh baked goods.
Effective merchandising of department.
Control department costs within parameters set out by owner/operator.
Staff management – rostering, recruitment, performance management and training.

What we’re looking for:

Proven management or supervisory experience within a retail environment.
Previous bakery experience / bakery qualifications are desirable.
Solid understanding of food safety and health & safety.
SAP experience desirable.
Capable people leader – able to lead and inspire a team.
Customer focused.
Be physically fit and able to lift up to 20kgs.
