Our stunning store, in the heart of the magical Mangawhai community, has been operating since October 2022.
With grocery, butchery, seafood, deli, bakery, produce, liquor, chilled and frozen, online and checkout departments in a beautiful new store, we are bringing a new era of shopping to our wonderful customers.

We are currently seeking a qualified or equally experienced Bakery 2IC to be part of the amazing team at New World Mangawhai!
As the 2IC, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Bakery Manager in the day-to-day operations of our Bakery department. You'll contribute to delivering a positive shopping experience for our customers while ensuring operational excellence in the Bakery. This is a busy department and maintaining all Food Safety and Health and Safety standards every day is required.
Bakery 2IC Role:

Assist in all areas of bakery production as required
Maintain daily operations and people leadership in collaboration with the Bakery Manager
Ensure all customer special orders are prepared to agreed timeframes
Follow Health and Safety and Well-being, Food Safety, and store procedures
Through attention to details, ensure high presentation standards for the bakery department & store at all times
Physical role, therefore, it is essential to be physically fit with the ability to lift 20kgs on a regular basis throughout the day

What are we looking for:

Must be qualified or have equivalent years of experience in a bakery bread production
Must have bakery supervisor or management experience, preferably in a supermarket
Reliable, honest and be a good team player
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Confidence & maturity to work unassisted at times
An excellent work ethic is essential
Enjoy working in a team
