We are a busy bakery shop based in Auckland. To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 Bakers to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for baking, attention to details, ability to multi-task and be a proactive member of the team. Ideal candidate should have a cookery or management or relevant NZQF qualification of Level 4 or higher OR 3 year’s relevant work experience in same filed or industry. Priority will be given to local NZ residence/citizens. Tasks Include:
Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment to make doughs for pies, pastry, bread rolls, and other pastry foods.
Make sweet, savory and special ingredient fillings, sources and toppings.
Check the quality of the ingredients and the prepared raw materials to make sure quality standard are met
Set, adjust and monitor oven and other cookware’s temperatures to ensure proper baking and cooking time
Take out the baked pastry from the forms, trays, unloading, de-panning and cooling the finished products
Decorate, glaze and adjust the display of the finished products
Test the finished products to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality requirements
Clean and restock workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
Check the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
