Assistant Accountant

Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial accounts and reports for multiple businesses.
- Communicate effectively with business managers and stakeholders.
- Handle accounts payable/receivable and assist auditors.
- Conduct stock takes in collaboration with warehouse managers.
- Analyze supplier reports, negotiate costs, and manage supplier relationships.
- Support sales admins with customer and supplier management systems.
- Oversee fleet management tasks.
- 2+ years in financial accounting, ideally within steel manufacturing, processing, distribution, or construction.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance, with comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand accounting process.
- Advanced Excel, data analysis, Power BI, and Net Suite proficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a positive, confident attitude.
