An outstanding opportunity now exists to join the team in Napier as the Alliance Manager. Providing effective leadership to the Ahuriri Alliance, a partnership between Napier City Council and Downer, the key purpose of this role is to maintain and enhance an integrated and collaborative high-performing team.
To be successful in this role, the Alliance Manager will apply strategic thinking to communicate and influence at all levels, developing relationships through collaboration, trust, and integrity.
You will also:

Promote an environment of continuous improvement, innovation and positive culture.
Ensure key customer and key stakeholder relationships are developed and strong working relationships within the Ahuriri Alliance and wider Downer Business are maintained and developed.
Support, implement and adhere to H&S policies and procedures. Support a culture that supports and maintains zero harm, environmental and sustainability practice and management.
Developing the team and enhancing organisational unity with NCC and Downer staff.

You will be someone who is passionate about people leadership and development, you will also:

Be a strategic thinker with the ability to solve problems, implement ideas and initiatives.
A strong track record that clearly demonstrates leadership behaviours that empower others to make decisions, deliver and success.
Hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), NZ Diploma in Civil Engineering or other relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.
Knowledge of best practice within the infrastructure industry.
Project and/or contract management experience within the civil engineering industry would be desirable.
