Crown Law provides legal advice and representation to the Government in matters that affect everyone in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Our mahi ranges from the enforcement of criminal law and protection of the revenue, to matters involving human rights and te Tiriti o Waitangi/the Treaty of Waitangi. Our counsel appear at all levels of court in Aotearoa, from the Supreme Court through to the District Court and various tribunals. Mo te Turanga - About the role
We're a small team in a small organisation with a busy work programme. We are looking for a person with strong communication and relationship management skills. You will have the opportunity to lead work, and you will work with the Manager, Planning and Performance on Crown Law's performance, accountability and risk management processes and products.
We're looking for someone with one-two years' experience in the planning, performance and accountability space.
Ideally, you will have:
strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working with people at all levels of the organisation
previous experience with reporting and accountability documents such as Annual Report, Estimates measures and Strategic Intentions
previous experience with risk management or risk reporting
an understanding of the machinery of government.
Some knowledge of official correspondence including the Official Information Act and Privacy Act would be useful.
Location: Te Whanganui-a-Tara - Wellington
This role is Wellington based and located next to Wellington bus and train station.
