The Role:
As a Fire Safety Service Supervisor, you will lead a team of 15 employees at our operational site in Rotterdam. In close collaboration with the planner, you will assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the team delivers high-quality work in line with Survitec’s safety standards. Your focus will be on operational efficiency, managing workflows, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
In this role, you will provide on-the-job coaching, guide team members, and handle performance evaluations. You will also participate in projects and independently conduct absence interviews and the appraisal cycle.

Key responsibilities for the Safety Service Supervisor role include but are not limited to:
- Support the Service Operations Manager with site procedures, safety walks, and team task allocation.
- Provide hands-on coaching to team members, helping them develop technical skills in safety services.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and communicate these for broader implementation.
- Represent Survitec during customer interactions, answering technical queries and demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge.
- Assist with testing new products or processes and contribute to setting up complex systems.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, seeking management approval for any exceptions.
- Collaborate with the Service Operations Manager to plan monthly schedules and track team performance.
- Work cross-functionally to address performance or process issues.
- Follow and promote Survitec’s Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
- Handle administrative tasks such as submitting paperwork for certifications and invoicing.
- Lead monthly safety meetings and communicate technical updates.
- Continuously develop your knowledge of industry best practices, relevant regulations, and Survitec’s product lines.
About You:
Essential criteria:
- High School education
- Relevant experience in service operations.
- Leadership: Ability to lead, maintain oversight, and set a positive example for the team.
- Coaching Style: Able to manage and motivate employees by fostering participation in processes and working methods.
- Communication: Open, inquisitive communication style, with a focus on feedback and collaboration.
- Process Improvement: Constantly seeking ways to improve existing methods or introduce new processes.
- Operational Efficiency: Able to monitor workflows, track performance, and ensure tasks are completed on time.
