Logistics Representative
Norit is one of the global leaders in producing activated carbon and produces various qualities of its powder and granular form that finds it's way into pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, and purification applications. Without knowing it, you have undoubtedly used the product indirectly. Right now, we are looking for a Logistics representative to join the team in our main Eurasia office in Amersfoort, Netherlands.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of logistics, including order management, transportation scheduling, import/export documentation, and waste management. This role involves close collaboration with the supply chain, customer care, carriers, and production plants to ensure seamless execution of inbound and outbound logistics operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of logistics, including order management, transportation scheduling, import/export documentation, and waste management. This role involves close collaboration with the supply chain, customer care, carriers, and production plants to ensure seamless execution of inbound and outbound logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate transportation with carriers for deliveries to and from customers, warehouses, and plants.
- Initiate and manage shipments, working with carriers to resolve issues related to availability, lead times, or locations.
- Maintain weekly planning of dedicated bulk trucks and ensure accurate data entry in internal systems.
- Obtain required documents from government agencies, chambers of commerce, embassies, insurers, and banks.
- Enter intercompany orders into system and coordinate import and export processes, including reviewing and adjusting orders as necessary.
- Manage licenses, permits, and documentation for waste recycling and transport. Ensure compliance with national and international regulations, and liaise with authorities to arrange necessary permits.
- Address and resolve complaints and issues such as damaged materials and late deliveries. Review daily reports to identify and rectify missed or delayed shipments.
- Support and initiate process improvements within the supply chain.
- Bachelor’s Degree: In Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in logistics operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
- Strong experience with ERP systems and MS Office 365.
- Ability to troubleshoot and quickly develop solutions while balancing daily responsibilities.
- Eagerness to provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.
- Outstanding communication skills.
