Are you ready to make a significant impact as part of our dynamic Legal team on Curacao? At Blyce, we are seeking a dedicated Legal & Compliance Assistant for 20 hours a week, to support the Blyce Legal team and advise on labor law, contract law, liability and insurance law, and corporate law.
You oversee Blyce's interests by maintaining an overview of ongoing legal matters, ensuring compliance as needed, and addressing other legal issues effectively. You promptly respond to stakeholders' legal inquiries, gather and provide information with a focus on confidentiality, risk assessment, and viable solutions. Moreover, you monitor procedures and processes to ensure alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist and support the Blyce legal team on various tasks.
Analyze and resolve legal issues in contract, corporate, intellectual property, insurance, procurement, and labor law.
Review / manage contracts with international clients and suppliers.
Review and draft internal and external legal documents, including letters, agreements, and declarations.
Manage licenses and intellectual property, updating templates and coordinating periodic source code deposits.
Oversee tax issues, tracking due dates and collaborating with the Finance Controller.
Maintain contracts and housing-related matters across all office locations.
Manage bank accounts from a legal perspective, including opening, modifying, and closing accounts.
Serve as a contact for the Chamber of Commerce, trust offices, and insurance agents.
Draft and archive shareholder resolutions.
Manage and archive legal files for Blyce companies, including annual general meetings.
Stay updated on current laws and regulations, closely following legal amendments.

An excellent gross salary between ANG 2,600 to 3,820 per month.
A one-year contract followed by an indefinite contract when we are the perfect match.
Enjoy 11,5 vacation days with the possibility to buy or sell 8 vacation days per year.
You receive 8.33% vacation pay per year.
A variable gross compensation of an extra month's salary per year, paid monthly.
A fixed gross expense allowance of ANG 250,- per month.

What do we need from you?
You have a university degree/master’s in law (with a focus on private law and/or corporate law).
You have 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
You have knowledge of both Curacao and Dutch laws and regulations.
You have excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch.
A plus if you speak Papiamentu.
A plus if you have tax knowledge/affinity.
A plus if you have knowledge of intellectual property law, labor law, and ICT law.
