Primary Function
Schneider Electric is seeking a motivated individual to serve as Sr. Design Engineer to support the new product development inside the power products portfolio, particularly circuit breakers. The position is based in Monterrey, Mexico and reports to the Power Products organization. The individual is responsible for all aspects of understanding customer needs and requirements from the product being developed and transforming those requirements into solutions through product development. The development process implies understanding of design thinking, design for manufacturing and validation methodologies using corporate tools.
Activities

• Understand product functional requirements and translate that into design needs.

• Skills on understanding the physical phenomena behind product operation.

• Develop design solution concepts using CAD tools.

• Manage GD&T methodologies and understand manufacturing processes.

• Manage validation methodologies using advanced tools such as CAE.

• Identification and management of technical project risks.

• Manage design actions using Agile methodology.

• Being the main contact point of product design leads and designers.

• Good communication skills are a must (business English conversations).
