The E&S (Environmental, Safety & Security) Supervisor will play a critical role in overseeing and enforcing safety and environmental policies within the manufacturing plant. This position involves ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, fostering a safe working environment, overseeing Plant Security and driving continuous improvement in EHS practices.

What you will do (job duties)

Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to local, national, and international EHS regulations and standards, including STPS, IMSS and environmental regulations.
- Stay current with updates and changes in EHS laws and industry best practices.
- Develop and update plant-specific EHS policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Organize, train, and coordinate the emergency brigades, mixed commission, and security committees, verifying compliance with the legal regulations and objectives established for each of them.

Safety Management:
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
- Develop and implement corrective actions and preventive measures for identified risks.
- Oversee the maintenance and enforcement of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.

Incident Management and Reporting:
- Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, inspections, and safety audits, and prepare comprehensive reports for management and regulatory bodies.

Training and Development:
- Design and deliver EHS training programs for all plant employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing safety training.
- Promote safety awareness through regular workshops, safety drills, and communication campaigns.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.

Environmental Protection:
- Oversee environmental management practices, including waste handling, recycling, and pollution control.
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations related to air, water, and soil.
- Develop and implement initiatives to reduce the plant’s environmental footprint and enhance sustainability.

Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop, maintain, and regularly review emergency response plans and procedures, including fire safety, chemical spills, and natural disasters.
- Conduct emergency drills and coordinate with local emergency services to ensure readiness and compliance.

Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain up-to-date records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident investigations, and compliance reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of EHS activities and metrics for internal and external audits.

Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for enhancing EHS performance and implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to integrate EHS goals into operational processes and initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate innovative EHS solutions.

ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance):
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives & strategies
- Work with customers, partners, contractors, and stakeholders to the extent reasonably possible to improve and advance ESG initiatives
- Promote transparency and timeliness in communication with stakeholders and partners on ESG matters.

Security
- Create security strategies based on the organization's needs.
- Develop strategies to reduce security risk conditions
- Resolve incidents and implementing preventative measures for security related activities
- Coordinate Security Guards activities

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment. Proven track record in safety program development and implementation.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Mexican EHS regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Hands-on approach, active personal participation in an activity; individual and direct
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate employees at all levels.

Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English in technical language is required
