Plant Quality Engineering Specialist is responsible to accomplish and meet the company specifications, standards, functional objectives in the product.
Responsible and owner of Customer external KPI´s 1MIS and 3MIS; contributor to Plant KPI's improvement such as DR, SCA, DVX.
Protect the Customer through effective plant containments, inspection controls in the QVS or Cert line and lead the permanent corrective actions from the plant with the different responsible.
Conduct customer risk assessments to determine the need for yard holds, including PRI's or Field Actions; plant representation in the technical calls, validate inspection and repair procedures, manage suspect vehicles control, clean points, recovery glide paths.
Manage the Product Engineering changes process, parts validation in the process through PER (Product Evaluation Request), and the CN (Change Request) process for plant implementation of a new part which includes team integration (Manufacturing, IE, MLM), plant bulletin and to ensure that the change will perform as planned in a production environment.
Lead the Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis for process, parts or product issues impacting the KPI´s using formal techniques and methodology like GB/BB, Six Sigma, Advanced/Major Kaizen, etc, to determine issue responsibility whether Process, Supplier or Design and quick off the action plan.
Identify and initiate temporary product deviations to resolve Customer or Manufacturing concerns using TSA/IAA
Identify any Engineering Responsibility issues impacting SCA audits; lead problem resolution using the GIM system process to document root cause, interim and permanent corrective actions.
Assist in the correction of Supplier Quality issues, including need for incoming part sorting through Supplier Table and stock purges, certify the 3CPR procedures.
Participate in "Best Practice" sharing and collaboration between plants/platforms.
Support Process/Manufacturing to identify processes that are not capable and formulate an action plan (as team) to bring the process into conformance with minimal resources and timing.
Support Plant MQAS, MQGR documentation, certification and audit programs as required to guarantee all requirements in compliance.
Participate the Continuous Improvement initiatives and activities (workshops, problem-solving teams, process studies, parts analysis, quality control systems, etc).
* Seek for Error/Mistake proofing processes, components, devices to guarantee zero risks. * Conduct regular vehicle reviews and Yard audits to identify potential leaks to the Customer.
Requirements: Engineering degree Electronic, Mechatronic or equivalent. 5 years experience in Automotive industry. Problem Solver with strong analytic skills. Strong data management skills. Data tools knowledge to manage large amounts of data efficiently and effectively. English written and spoken, capable to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels. Leadership skills focused on results. Communication and relationship skills. High energy to achieve and deliver. Self motivated and emotional strength to manage stress and pressure.
