The Digital User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Manager oversees and coordinates the user acceptance testing process for software and technology projects. They ensure that the final product meets the needs and expectations of the end-users by ensuring that the UAT test cases reflect full end-to-end user journeys. This manager works closely with product owners and agile project teams to create and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and resolve any issues that arise, and manage the UAT timeline. We expect the managers to immerse themselves in the customer experience and product objectives, understand retail systems and testing techniques, and provide leadership to deliver quality results and best-in-class UAT capabilities. The UAT Manager oversees the development and execution of testing and monitoring strategies throughout the customer journey with a drive toward business outcomes as a cornerstone. The ideal candidate should have strong project management, communication, and leadership skills, as well as a solid understanding of software development and testing processes. The Digital UAT Manager will establish and develop a new India Digital organization. They will help with organizational planning, recruiting, team development, individual development, and performance reviews. This manager will work to integrate the team at BTSSC with US and India Auto Zone and vendor partners. They will establish a physical location at BTSSC for both work desks and testing equipment. The manager will work to develop the team's vision and processes, all while building positive morale among its new team members. Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned:
Develop Digital business capabilities at Auto Zone by establishing a Digital team and collaborating with other global Digital Management team members
Build, coach, and manage a team of Auto Zone senior and junior UAT Analysts, as well as help to do the same for US and India-based Auto Zoners, as well as UAT contractors.
Responsibilities will span across both digital DIY and Commercial business lines on both customer and Auto Zoner-facing solutions.
Manage the Digital staff, including recruiting, onboarding, and development.
Provide leadership to our UAT Center of Excellence (Co E) by implementing new ideas and Industry best-in-class testing techniques.
Lead analysts in the design and execution of UAT strategies and methods to deliver innovative experiential software products that surprise and delight our customers.
Collaborate with agile teams, including product management, IT, and user experience (UX) team members ensuring that the business, product, and customer journey goals are addressed by test strategies, scripts, data models, and plans.
Provide leadership, insights, and direction to agile teams based on testing results and root cause analysis. Act as an integrator between the needs of product teams and possible technology solutions.
Develop test automation strategies, improve automation quality, and increase the % of automated UAT test cases. Improvise the current framework to mimic the best-in-class industry practices
Present the strategies and improvement concepts to the leadership team.
Skills and requirements:
Level of formal education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Science, Technology, or Engineering.
Area of study: Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
Years of experience: 5 - 7 years of experience providing customer-oriented technical leadership, building and developing new teams
Type of experience:
Experience owning a product or project end to end and taking the initiative to drive it to a conclusion without oversight. Expertise in problem-solving using domain knowledge, and technical, and analytical skills. Project management – estimating, planning, controlling, and execution. Experience leading several large-sized project efforts simultaneously. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams. Experience with budgeting and planning Business. Excellent presentation, facilitation, and writing skills. Ability to persuade or influence others in and outside the team. Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences in English Knowledge of basic development practices to lead Senior UAT analysts that will develop functional automation. Self-starter with curiosity, capacity, and tech-savvy to understand complex, integrated systems Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Ability to work with shifting priorities to meet project requirements. · Technical: Desire to learn more technical aspects of UAT and to develop these skills among the team members. Experience with: Selenium with Java, Test NG, Cucumber, Appium, Appli Tools, Git Lab, Maven, Test management software (QC / ALM / JIRA / Zephyr / Agility) · Other/preferred: Retail business experience in Product Management or Ownership of Programming Languages (Java, C, C++) Databases (Oracle, My SQL, Postgre SQL) Core Competencies:
